You’re a savvy shopper. Here at The Peacock Parade, we know that. That’s why we want you to get the most wear out of your purchases. At this stage, summer is almost over and many of us are thinking about fall. Transitional items are key. They will work with you for the remainder of the summer and seamlessly take you into fall.

Check out The Peacock Parade‘s current selection of shoes and why they’re so fabulous.

These beauties may not work for the dead of winter but they’ll certainly kick up your early fall wardrobe. Fall featured plenty of soft, rosy pinks and these will be the perfect accents.

The classic black pump (here, in a cute peep-toe) is necessary for every woman. These can be worn during all four seasons and will go with every outfit for every occasion. Seriously.

Office party? Birthday party? Dance party? These shoes are meant for fun. If you’re wearing a solid black dress, why not opt for a punch of colour on your feet. The compliments will be endless.

A gold flat is divine. It offers interest and will kick up any wardrobe. I love pairing metallic shoes with jeans because they have that wow-factor.

Why You Need Miss Sixty Jeans

By Diana   |    August 24, 2013 12:07 pm    |   Sales, Style, The Peacock Parade Blog   |    off

If you’ve never heard of Miss Sixty until now and don’t know what all the fuss is about, let me fill you in. Miss Sixty is an Italian denim brand, now also a full clothing line, that is specifically designed for women. Unlike other co-ed denim labels, Miss Sixty designs jeans using the female body, rather than primarily making jeans for men and reconfiguring them to fit a woman.

So what’s the big deal? The fit, shape and high-quality. Miss Sixty visionaries and co-founders Wicky Hassan and Renato Rossi sought to create a denim brand that would blur the lines between casual and dressy. Using various processes to soften the denim and allow them to retain their shape after washing is what keeps people coming back. When you invest in a good pair of jeans, they will last you for years and years.

Miss Sixty is loved the world over, with a huge celebrity following. The line is sold in Miss Sixty/Sixty stand-alone stores, as well as in high-end department stores. So rather than pay retail price, The Peacock Parade is offering top quality denim for up to 60% off. Don’t wait. Get your pair of must-have Miss Sixty jeans just in time for Fall.

Anna Wintour reading Vogue

Anna Wintour reading Vogue

It was yesterday that the elusive and “devilish” editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour joined social media…sort of. Wintour allowed a cheeky photo of herself reading the September issue of Vogue to be published on Instagram. The caption: “Anna Wintour reads #TheSeptemberIssue. Do you? We would love to see it! Show us your #voguestagram.”

Since yesterday, fashion lovers and avid readers have been snapping pics of themselves reading the 902-page September issue! If you have the muscles and an Instagram account, join the party.

Oscar de la Renta reads Vogue, too!

Oscar de la Renta reads Vogue, too!

She has no Facebook page (that I know of!), no Twitter account and you definitely  won’t find her on LinkedIn. Forget about Pintrest, she uses Vogue as her own personal pin board.

This may not be considered breaking news to some, but to others, having an old-school fashion icon succumb to the calls of social media is huge. As we know, it’s a great way to connect with people and get your message across. Wintour’s message? Read Vogue! Don’t worry, Anna, we do.
