This has been a great week for affordable fashion on The Peacock Parade. Fabulous brands like Line & Dot and B-Low The Belt are new to the roster but both have been long coveted by fashion lovers and celebrities.

With a mix of animal prints, bright hues and gorgeous accessories, these are my picks from this week’s sales.

Line & Dot – available on The Peacock Parade

Okay, so I couldn’t just pick one thing from the Line & Dot sale. Easily take the pink one-shoulder top into evening by adding a fitted black pencil skirt and a statement necklace. Make the animal print dress even more Fall-friendly by pairing it with opaque tights and ankle boots.

Adia Kibur – available on The Peacock Parade

These can be worn anytime, especially to complement an up-do.

B-Low The Belt – available on The Peacock Parade

Give jeans and trousers a little hip jewellery by adding decorative belts.!

Twinkle by Wenlan – available on The Peacock Parade

And this, well this I just love!

Trend Watch Fall 2012 – Bright Future

By Diana   |    September 26, 2012 7:28 pm    |   Style, The Peacock Parade Blog, Trend Watch   |    off

It’s officially Fall which means you’re either pulling out your favourite sweaters or scouring The Peacock Parade for the best deals on trendy Autumn pieces. I think we can all admit to opting for black or gray far too often when picking Fall clothing. This season, however, has been a major game changer for Fall fashion…the brighter, the better.

Jil Sander FW2012

Designers like Jil Sander (by far my favourite Fall/Winter 2012 collection!), Prada and Balenciaga showed fashion lovers that Fall doesn’t have to mean drab. Using palettes of what some might call “summer” colours, designers mixed classic blacks with vibrant purples or let scarlet coats stand alone. This season, bright is chic.

Bottega Veneta FW2012

Cullen Cashmere vest – available on The Peacock Parade

Don’t be afraid to continue colour-blocking or picking strong hues. In fact, wearing bright pants has never been more in style. Experiment with accessories and make sure not to pigeon hole colours into seasons!

Fall For Couture

Any fashion lover knows that it’s hard to beat the whimsy of couture. Ready-to-wear may be the beautiful woman who has it all but couture is her older, more sophisticated sister. Elite designers relish the opportunity to push technical boundaries, weaving ostrich feathers into leather or silk into suede. That’s why couture is still so important today.

Here are some of best looks from Fall 2012 Couture Week in Paris.
